License Packages and Feature Availability

All Hyperscience instances running v42 require a license key before they can be used. Each license key contains encoded information, including your current license package.

  • To learn more about our license packages and the features available in each one, contact your Hyperscience representative.

  • More information about license keys can be found in License Keys.

Urgent license key requests

If you need license keys within 3 business days, file a support ticket with your request. Requests will be processed according to our standard support SLA to ensure timely resolution.

If you are upgrading from v39 or earlier, when you enter a new license key, the features available to you may be different from those that you had in previous versions of Hyperscience. The table below describes the changes to your feature access, if any, you can expect in v40 and later. Any changes won’t take effect until you enter a new license key.

If your license key was created under…

…and your current license package is…

…you will:

Impact when updating license keys

Unless your license key is expiring, you do not need to enter a license key when upgrading to v42 to use all of the features included in your package.

If you have the Essentials or Advanced package for an on-premise instance under our Hypercell pricing plan, you will be shown a list of the features you will lose access to when you enter a new license key.

Impact on pricing-package downgrades

If you downgrade the license package for an on-premise instance, you will be given a new license key that has details about your new license package encoded in it. If that license key is created under the Hypercell pricing plan for the Essentials or Advanced license package, you will be shown the same list of affected features described in Impact when updating license keys when you enter the new license key.

The system automatically archives any layouts or releases that use features that are not included in your new license package.
